description: The Encored Separation consists of a 1000kg, 10 meter height and 17 meter diameter hanging metallic mobile suspended from the ceiling and a room-sized box fabricated with standard drywall elements. The two separated units are juxtaposed in the exhibition hall and their relation is a consequence of the construction process in which one is necessary altered in order for the other one to exist: the mobile has been balanced using as counterweights piles of drywall removed by hand from the exterior layer of the existing white cube provided by the fair, the exact amount of what was removed was used so that each one of the horizontal elements achieved its horizontality.
